We combine care, passion and whole-hearted dedication to create organic hemp products for people who want to take more proactive control of their own health. Our organic CBD oils are not only used to correct imbalances in the body - people in good health can also use them in smaller doses to promote inner equilibrium.
Quality hemp begins with the ground it is planted in. We carefully select the fields where it is grown, as this is the only way to guarantee sustainable, organic products – without the use of herbicides, pesticides or other chemicals.
In close collaboration with organic farmers in the region around Lake Neusiedl, we cultivate around 200 hectares of land. With expertise, care and passion – and zero compromises. We only plant and process EU-certified organic industrial hemp varieties which have been specifically bred to almost entirely eliminate the psychoactive ingredient, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Ground samples, multiple in-house analyses of the plant material and strict external audits by the Austrian Agency for Food Safety (AGES) and the Austrian certification and inspection body for organic produce Austria Bio Garantie (AT-BIO-301) safeguard a fully organic product of the highest caliber.
We process the highly nutritious hemp seeds to produce high-quality organic hemp foodstuffs, and derive tea and extracts from the leaves and flowers. The CO2 extraction method is extremely gentle, using pressure and heat to secure the valuable parts of leaves and flowers, resulting in an initial raw extract.
This raw extract is subject to further production steps to generate our CBD- and CBG-rich whole-plant extracts. These contain all cannabinoids that occur in the plant itself, plus flavonoids, terpenes and phenolic compounds. Substances that the human body cannot utilise are carefully removed.
For our organic CBD premium extract, the CBD whole-plant extract is refined further, until only pure CBD in crystalline form remains. This is all performed without the use of solvents or additives. To ensure product safety and the highest possible quality, every batch is subject to multiple in-house tests and analyses, as well as external audits. All MEDIHEMP products are certified as organic by the Austrian inspection agency ABG and bear the AT-BIO-301 label.

The Deep Nature Project, based in Gols, Austria, was borne of the desire to develop natural products that do people good and assist us to live active and healthy lives. Our team is almost 70 strong and is led by the founders themselves, Andrea Bamacher and Elke Moritz. Together, we work to make the wonderful properties of hemp, known for millennia, available again to humans and animals. The proven quality of MEDIHEMP is now available for animals as well. Our dedicated brand offering for pets large and small, VETRIHEMP, was developed in close cooperation with veterinary experts and comprises organic CBD oils.
We invest considerable time, money and human resources in research and development – to keep abreast of new ideas and technologies, and to raise the quality of our products even further.
Our stated aim is to ever-increase the bioavailability of our organic hemp extracts. The higher the bioavailability, the better the body can absorb the nourishing ingredients of hemp. The insights gained through our own research efforts, and through our partnership with the International Institute for Cannabinoids (ICANNA) in Slovenia, are employed to drive innovative product development.
In autumn 2017, we succeeded in launching the first-ever organic-grade cannabigerol (CBG) extract. And we shall continue to work tirelessly to make good use of the power of hemp.
We are only satisfied once we fully meet our high quality standards. This is not only validated by our internal quality management and our own laboratory. We also regularly submit to external independent test bodies. Because only when checked and certified our organic hemp extracts and organic hemp food are send out to you. And even though we are already thinking about how we can become even better, we are very proud that our quality standards have been awarded 6 times.
